Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Your adventure begins in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Circuit. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, one of our friendly representatives will greet you and transfer you to your comfortable accommodation in Arusha. Take this time to relax and acclimate after your journey, as tomorrow, your safari adventure kicks off!
Day 2: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll set off towards the Serengeti National Park. The drive will take you through the picturesque landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, keep your camera ready, as you might spot wildlife and breathtaking vistas.
Upon arrival in the Serengeti, you’ll check into your camp or lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. The afternoon is dedicated to your first game drive in the heart of the Serengeti, where you’ll start to witness the incredible diversity of flora and fauna. The sheer volume of wildlife will leave you in awe. As the sun sets, we’ll return to the camp for dinner and a cozy night under the African sky.
Day 3: Central Serengeti
Today, we embark on an early morning game drive in the Central Serengeti, often referred to as Seronera. This area is characterized by its rich diversity of wildlife and is the perfect introduction to the Great Migration. You’ll have the chance to see the big cats – lions, leopards, and cheetahs – alongside herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles.
Mid-morning, we’ll return to the camp for a leisurely breakfast before setting out for another game drive. Our experienced guides will take you to the best spots to witness the migration in all its glory. The Central Serengeti is teeming with life, and there’s always something new to see. In the evening, we’ll return to the camp for dinner and share stories of the day’s adventures.
Day 4: Western Corridor and Grumeti River
Our journey continues westward today, towards the Western Corridor and the Grumeti River. This area is a crucial part of the Great Migration, as thousands of wildebeests and zebras cross the crocodile-infested river in search of fresh grazing grounds. The thrilling river crossings are not to be missed and are a highlight of the migration season.
Your day will be filled with game drives along the riverbanks, where you might witness the dramatic scenes of wildebeests taking the plunge. With a bit of luck, you’ll also spot predators such as crocodiles and lions lying in wait for their prey. We’ll return to our camp for another night under the stars, reminiscing about the day’s adventures.
Day 5: Northern Serengeti and Mara River
Today, we head north to the remote and less-visited Northern Serengeti, near the Mara River. This area is known for its pristine landscapes and abundant wildlife. Here, you’ll experience a more intimate encounter with the Great Migration, away from the crowds. The Mara River crossings are equally spectacular and provide a unique perspective on nature’s raw power.
Our expert guides will ensure you have the best opportunities to witness these dramatic moments while keeping a respectful distance to protect the animals. After a thrilling day, we’ll return to our camp for a relaxing evening, surrounded by the sounds of the Serengeti.
Day 6: Northern Serengeti Exploration
Your sixth day in the Serengeti is dedicated to further exploration of the Northern region. The landscape here is different from the rest of the park, with rolling hills, dense woodlands, and rocky outcrops. This diversity of habitats attracts a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes.
We’ll embark on morning and afternoon game drives, ensuring that you have ample opportunities to capture amazing photographs and create lasting memories. The Serengeti is a photographer’s paradise, and you’ll be amazed by the variety of scenes and colors. After a day full of discoveries, we’ll return to camp for a well-deserved rest.
Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
On day seven, we bid farewell to the Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, we’ll stop at Olduvai Gorge, often referred to as the "Cradle of Mankind." Here, you can explore the archaeological site and learn about the early human fossils discovered by the Leakey family.
After this fascinating detour, we’ll continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most remarkable natural wonders. The crater is a haven for wildlife, including the endangered black rhino. We’ll descend into the crater for a game drive, where you’ll have the chance to see a remarkable concentration of animals in a relatively small area. In the evening, we’ll ascend to the rim for overnight accommodation with stunning views of the crater below.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Your final day of the safari begins with another game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, where you can savor the last moments of your wildlife adventure. Afterward, we’ll begin our journey back to Arusha, taking in the scenic landscapes along the way.
Upon arrival in Arusha, we’ll transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight or to your hotel if you plan to extend your stay in Tanzania. As you bid farewell to the incredible wildlife and landscapes of Tanzania, you’ll carry with you memories that will last a lifetime.
